Employees who are laid off will be retained on the Company's seniority list for a period of eighteen (18) months but unless they signify their willingness to return to work within three (3) working days after being requested to do so and report to work within ten days thereafter, they will forfeit their claim to re-employment by the Company. ARTICLE SENIORITY. The parties recognize that job security should increase in proportion to the employee's length of service. An employee's seniority shall be expressed in terms of hours, and shall be equivalent to the number of paid hours of employment since the employee's last date of hire plus all hours that the employee will would have worked but for having been absent on Workers' Compensation.
