Common use of ARTICLE XIV - GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE Clause in Contracts

ARTICLE XIV - GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE. SECTION 1. It is mutually agreed that all grievances, disputes, or complaints arising under and during the terms of this Agreement shall be settled in accordance with the procedure herein provided and that there shall at no time be any strikes, tie-ups of equipment, slow downs, walk outs, or any other cessations of work by the Union or the members thereof and that the City shall not use any method of lock out or legal procedure to prevent the employees from performing their duties except as specifically agreed to in other superseding sections of this contract. Every effort shall be made to adjust controversies and disagreements in an amicable manner between the City and the Union.
