Assessment of Tobacco Use Disorder. 12.1. As required by Assembly Bill (AB) 541 and BHIN 22-024, all licensed and/or certified SUD recovery or treatment facilities shall conduct an assessment of tobacco use at the time of the client’s initial intake. The assessment shall include questions recommended in the most recent version of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) under Tobacco Use Disorder, or COUNTY’s evidence-based guidance, for determining whether a client has a tobacco use disorder.
