Common use of Assignment of Single Arbitrator Clause in Contracts

Assignment of Single Arbitrator. (a) When a party has requested that a grievance be submitted to arbitration, an arbitrator pursuant to Appendix B or a substitute shall be chosen by the parties. (b) The parties shall agree upon a list of arbitrators which shall be appended to this Agreement. An arbitrator may be removed from the list by mutual agreement. (c) Depending upon availability, single arbitrators shall be assigned cases on a rotating basis.
