Assignment Upon Return. Any employee returning from an approved leave of absence as covered by this article who has complied with all the conditions upon which the leave was approved shall: a. Be returned to the assignment held at the time the leave was granted if the leave was for a period of up to six (6) months duration, or b. In the event the assignment held at the time the leave was granted has been abolished, the employee shall be reassigned to a vacant position for which qualified in the classification and department from which leave was granted, or c. In the event no vacancy exists in the classification from which leave was granted, the employee may either exercise Board of Education seniority to replace the least senior employee in the classification from which the leave was granted, provided the employee is qualified to perform the work of the less senior employee and if mutually agreeable to the employee and the Employer.
