Assistant Chief a. If the grievance is not settled under Step 1, it may be appealed in writing to the Human Resources Director within fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of the written decision from Step 1. Within fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of the written grievance appeal the appropriate Assistant Chief shall meet with the grievant and his/her representative. Within fourteen (14) calendar days thereafter, a written decision shall be given to the grievant and his/her representative.

Assistant Chief. If the EMS Coordinator becomes certified as a fire fighter in accordance with Section (5)(f)(3)(c) of this section, he shall serve at the pleasure of the Fire Chief and may be demoted without cause to the classification of Lieutenant within the Medical Division of the Fire Department.

(b) For the purposes of this Agreement "qualified internal candidate" shall be defined as the member being in "Good Standing"; actively functioning in the rank of Captain or higher for a minimum of four (4) years; demonstrated competencies to function in the Battalion Chief rank as determined by the Chief; completion of the Battalion Chief Task Book by the time of appointment; and must be willing to accept the appointment and operate in the Operational and Administrative Support division. "Good Standing" is defined as an employee who is not under investigatio n, has received a positive mid-year evaluation, has received a "meets" or "exceeds" review on the most recent annual evaluation and has not received a written reprimand within the last six months and/or a suspension or demotion within the last 18-months from the time of appointment.
Assistant Chief. The City may create and appoint up to two Assistant Chief positions. A. Minimum Qualifications. The Assistant Chief positions shall meet the following minimum qualifications: 1) the appointee must be eligible for certification by TCOLE at the intermediate level or above; and, 2) must have served as a bona fide law enforcement officer for a minimum of five years B. Up to one person holding the rank of Assistant Chief at any given time may, but need not, be chosen from outside of the department.

  • Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer The Treasurer shall have the custody of the Company funds and securities and shall keep full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursements in books belonging to the Company and shall deposit all moneys and other valuable effects in the name and to the credit of the Company in such depositories as may be designated by the Board.   • Secretary and Assistant Secretaries The secretary shall record all proceedings of the shareholders and the Trustees in books to be kept therefor, which books shall be kept at the principal office of the Trust. In the absence of the secretary from any meeting of shareholders or Trustees, an assistant secretary, or if there be none or he or she is absent, a temporary clerk chosen at the meeting shall record the proceedings thereof in the aforesaid books.
