If the grievance is not settled under Step 1, it may be appealed in writing to the Human Resources Director within fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of the written decision from Step 1. Within fourteen (14) calendar days after receipt of the written grievance appeal the appropriate Assistant Chief shall meet with the grievant and his/her representative.
