Common use of Attendance at Mediation Clause in Contracts

Attendance at Mediation. The Grievance Mediation may be attended by up to two representatives of the Employer and up to two representatives of the Union, with one representative of each party designated as the principal spokesperson. In addition to the Employer and Union representatives, the Grievant shall also have the right to be present. It is expected that at least one of the Employer and Union representatives will be from the local unit from which the grievance arose. The Employer, the Union, and the Grievant will not be represented by outside counsel at the Grievance Mediation, unless mutually agreed otherwise by the Employer and the Union.
