ATTENDANCE PROCEDURE. A. Food service employees are responsible for reporting their absence by calling as directed by their building principal. B. Notice of absence must be given to the District by employees at least three (3) hours before the start of the shift, except for extenuating circumstances, or leave time cannot be used. For employees who work in preparation kitchens, the notice should be at least one hour before the start of the shift or leave time cannot be used. For employees working the breakfast shift, they must call at least one (1) hour before the start of the shift.
