Common use of Award Selection Clause in Contracts

Award Selection. The Government will review the prices of all technically acceptable firms and the award selection will go to the lowest priced, technically acceptable, responsible offeror. The lowest price will be determined by multiplying the offered prices times the estimated quantities in Section B, and arriving at a grand total, including all options. As described in FAR 52.215-1, incorporated by reference in Section L, the Government may award may based on initial offers, without discussions. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s).
