Common use of Background Check and Clearance Clause in Contracts

Background Check and Clearance. If this Contract involves direct contact with minors, Contractor shall require and provide written verification thereof to County, prior to commencement of services under the Contract, that all personnel or volunteers employed or otherwise retained by Contractor to work or provide services under this Contract receive appropriate clearance following a Federal and State criminal records check, and a California Department of Motor Vehicles record check.
