UK law applies in relation to EUI in its capacity as a CSD, recognised payment system, operator of a relevant system for registration of dematerialised securities and as a system operator of a designated system, applicable provisions (as amended) include the Financial Services and Markets Xxx 0000 (FSMA), the UK CSDR, the Uncertificated Securities Regulations 2001, the Banking Xxx 0000 and the Financial Markets and Insolvency (Settlement Finality) Regulations 1999.

Bank of England (BoE. The Bank of England is subject to a statutory duty of confidentiality under s.348 of the Financial Services and Markets Xxx 0000 and associated Financial Services and Markets Xxx 0000 (Disclosure of Confidential Information) Regulations. This means that it is a criminal offence to disclose information received by the Bank of England for the purposes of, or in the discharge of, any of its functions as supervisor of EUI under the UK CSDR in breach of the provisions in this legislation.
