Common use of Bargaining Committee and Stewards Clause in Contracts

Bargaining Committee and Stewards. 7.1 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise elect, from the local Union body, a Bargaining Committee composed of not more than seven (7) members and the Company will recognize and meet with the said Committee on any matter properly arising during the continuance of the Agreement, and the Company and the Bargaining Committee will co-operate in the administration of the Agreement. The President, or if absent, the Vice President of the Local, will be an ex-officio member of the Committee if not elected thereto.
