Basis of Appeal and Rebuttal. (a) Within fourteen (14) days of filing the appeal, the Faculty member shall submit to the Committee a written statement that sets forth clearly the basis of the appeal, stating all relevant facts pertaining to the issues raised in the appeal and specifying the statutes, rules and regulations, if any, upon which the Faculty member relies. Absent extraordinary circumstances, if the written statement is not submitted on or before the expiration of the fourteen (14) day period, the Faculty member shall forfeit appeal rights, and the adverse action shall be implemented.
