Common use of Benefit Continuance Clause in Contracts

Benefit Continuance. When an employee hired before June 7, 2005 who is in the second year of employment is absent from work due to layoff, the benefits set forth in Article 25.01, except 25.01(d), shall be maintained for a period up to a maximum of six (6) months. Laid off employees who are employed with another employer shall not be eligible for coverage.
