BENEFIT COVERAGE DURING DISABILITY. An employee who is in receipt of Short Term or Long Term Disability Benefits or Workers' Compensation Benefits will continue to be covered by the benefits described in 27.02 above. An employee who is declared totally and permanently disabled by the W.C.B. or under the L.T.D. Plan or who becomes disentitled to L.T.D. benefits but cannot return to employment with the College will cease to be covered by the benefits no earlier than two (2) years after the date the disability began. If an employee appeals the decision of total and permanent disability, the employee may continue to be covered by the benefits described in 27.02 until the appeal process has concluded; provided the employee agrees in writing to repay the Employer if the appeal is not successful.
