Birth of a Child or Adoption of a Child. One day of absence with pay will be granted to an employee at the birth of his or her child or at the time of the legal adoption of a child or the day of adoptive placement of a child. This leave is in addition to the leave provided in Sections 7.2, 7.2.1, and 7.2.2 above.

  • Death of Annuitant If the natural Owner and Annuitant are different, and the Annuitant dies before the Annuity Date, the Owner becomes the Annuitant until the Owner elects a new Annuitant. If there are Joint Annuitants, upon the death of any Annuitant prior to the Annuity Date, the Owner may elect a new Joint Annuitant. However, if the Owner is a non-natural person, We will treat the death of any Annuitant as the death of the "Primary Annuitant" and as the death of the Owner, see DEATH PROVISIONS.

  • Notification of Absence A unit member shall contact the office of the division xxxx whenever there is a need to be absent and at least thirty (30) minutes prior to missing any work assignment.   • Effect of Bankruptcy, Withdrawal, Death or Dissolution of a General Partner (a) Upon the occurrence of an Event of Bankruptcy as to a General Partner (and its removal pursuant to Section 7.4(a) hereof) or the death, withdrawal, removal or dissolution of a General Partner (except that, if a General Partner is on the date of such occurrence a partnership, the withdrawal, death, dissolution, Event of Bankruptcy as to, or removal of a partner in, such partnership shall be deemed not to be a dissolution of such General Partner if the business of such General Partner is continued by the remaining partner or partners), the Partnership shall be dissolved and terminated unless the Partnership is continued pursuant to Section 7.3(b) hereof. The merger of the General Partner with or into any entity that is admitted as a substitute or successor General Partner pursuant to Section 7.2 hereof shall not be deemed to be the withdrawal, dissolution or removal of the General Partner. (b) Following the occurrence of an Event of Bankruptcy as to a General Partner (and its removal pursuant to Section 7.4(a) hereof) or the death, withdrawal, removal or dissolution of a General Partner (except that, if a General Partner is on the date of such occurrence a partnership, the withdrawal, death, dissolution, Event of Bankruptcy as to, or removal of a partner in, such partnership shall be deemed not to be a dissolution of such General Partner if the business of such General Partner is continued by the remaining partner or partners), the Limited Partners, within 90 days after such occurrence, may elect to continue the business of the Partnership for the balance of the term specified in Section 2.4 hereof by selecting, subject to Section 7.2 hereof and any other provisions of this Agreement, a substitute General Partner by consent of a majority in interest of the Limited Partners. If the Limited Partners elect to continue the business of the Partnership and admit a substitute General Partner, the relationship with the Partners and of any Person who has acquired an interest of a Partner in the Partnership shall be governed by this Agreement.

  • Death of the Participant The Advisory Committee will direct the Trustee, in accordance with this Section 6.01(C), to distribute to the Participant's Beneficiary the Participant's Nonforfeitable Accrued Benefit remaining in the Trust at the time of the Participant's death. Subject to the requirements of Section 6.04, the Advisory Committee will determine the death benefit by reducing the Participant's Nonforfeitable Accrued Benefit by any security interest the Plan has against that Nonforfeitable Accrued Benefit by reason of an outstanding Participant loan. (1) DECEASED PARTICIPANT'S NONFORFEITABLE ACCRUED BENEFIT DOES NOT EXCEED $3,500. The Advisory Committee, subject to the requirements of Section 6.04, must direct the Trustee to distribute the deceased Participant's Nonforfeitable Accrued Benefit in a single sum, as soon as administratively practicable following the Participant's death or, if later, the date on which the Advisory Committee receives notification of or otherwise confirms the Participant's death. (2) DECEASED PARTICIPANT'S NONFORFEITABLE ACCRUED BENEFIT EXCEEDS $3,500. The Advisory Committee will direct the Trustee to distribute the deceased Participant's Nonforfeitable Accrued Benefit at the time and in the form elected by the Participant or, if applicable by the Beneficiary, as permitted under this Article VI. In the absence of an election, subject to the requirements of Section 6.04, the Advisory Committee will direct the Trustee to distribute the Participant's undistributed Nonforfeitable Accrued Benefit in a lump sum on the first distribution date following the close of the Plan Year in which the Participant's death occurs or, if later, the first distribution date following the date the Advisory Committee receives notification of or otherwise confirms the Participant's death. If the death benefit is payable in full to the Participant's surviving spouse, the surviving spouse, in addition to the distribution options provided in this Section 6.01(C), may elect distribution at any time or in any form (other than a joint and survivor annuity) this Article VI would permit for a Participant.
