Building Engineer; Head Custodian. Duties: In charge of heating and cleaning a school building or buildings. The Building Engineer or Head Custodian in charge of a building shall accept the care of the school building and the comfort of the occupants as his/her responsibility and shall be prepared to do necessary work as and when it is required. He/she shall be responsible for work-planning and equitable distribution of work. It is agreed and understood that the Building Engineer or Head Custodian has sole charge of maintenance, operations and security of the physical plant subject to the direction of the Operations Department. It is further understood that the management of the school is vested in the Principal and/or Vice-Principal, and that reasonable directives shall be followed by the Building Engineer and, through the Building Engineer, other Operations staff headquartered in the school. The Building Engineer/Head Custodian or his designate shall complete employee reports for Operations personnel under his or her supervision. The Building Engineer/Head Custodian or his designate shall complete employee reports on an independent basis.   • BUILDING SERVICES CONTRACTS In compliance with Article 9, Section 230 of the New York State Labor Law:

  • PUBLIC WORKS AND BUILDING SERVICES CONTRACTS Work being done under a resulting Authorized User Agreement may be subject to the prevailing wage rate provisions of the New York State Labor Law. The PDF file may be searched to obtain the Prevailing Wage Rate for a specific occupation. SHORT TERM EXTENSION In the event a replacement Contract has not been issued, any Contract let and awarded hereunder by the State, may be extended unilaterally by the State for an additional period of up to 3 months upon notice to the Contractor with the same terms and conditions as the original Contract including, but not limited to, prices and delivery requirements. With the concurrence of the Contractor, the extension may be for a period of up to 6 months in lieu of 3 months. However, this extension terminates should the replacement Contract be issued in the interim. PROCUREMENT INSTRUCTIONS Authorized Users should refer to the documents attached as Appendix G – Processes and Forms Templates for specific instructions on the usage of this Contract. OGS reserves the right to unilaterally make revisions, changes, additions and/or updates to the documents attached as Appendix G - Processes and Forms Templates without processing a formal amendment and/or modification. SPECIFICATIONS During the term of the Contract, the Authorized User may request Product specifications for particular items that have been included by the Contractor in its Pricing Pages. These specifications will be provided by the Contractor at no cost.

  • Construction Bonds, Insurance and Supervision (i) The Recipient shall require that each of its Contractors furnish a performance and payment bond in an amount at least equal to 100 percent (100%) of its contract price as security for the faithful performance of its contract.

  • CONSTRUCTION/PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS In compliance with Article 8, Section 220 of the New York State Labor Law:

  • Building Services Labor Law Article 9 applies to Contracts for building service work over $1,500 with a public agency, that: (i) involve the care or maintenance of an existing building, or (ii) involve the transportation of office furniture or equipment to or from such building, or (iii) involve the transportation and delivery of fossil fuel to such building, and (iv) the principal purpose of which is to furnish services through use of building service employees.

  • Construction Clearing All timber is designated for cutting that is within the clearing limits of roads constructed hereunder or is in other authorized clearings. All dead or unstable live trees are designated for cutting that are sufficiently tall to reach Purchaser’s landings or the roadbed of Specified and Temporary Roads when Marked in advance of felling of timber in the immediate vicinity. Pieces meeting Utilization Standards from such dead or unstable live trees shall be removed, unless there is agreement that to do so could damage the road. Such designation may be revised as part of agreed changes in road location under B5.2.

  • CERTIFICATION REGARDING USE OF CONTRACT FUNDS FOR LOBBYING This provision is applicable to all Federal-aid construction contracts and to all related subcontracts which exceed $100,000 (49 CFR 20).
