Common use of BULLETIN BOARDS AND OTHER INFORMATION Clause in Contracts

BULLETIN BOARDS AND OTHER INFORMATION. Reasonable space will be allowed on bulletin boards for use by the Union to communicate with employees. Material shall be posted upon the bulletin board space as designated, and not upon walls, doors, windows or any other place. Posted material shall not be obscene, of a partisan political nature, nor shall it pertain to public issues which do not involve the City or its relations with employees. In addition, the Union shall not post literature that is discriminatory, harassing, or violates City policy or the law. All posted material shall be dated, shall bear the identity of the sponsor, shall be neatly displayed, and shall be removed when no longer timely, but in no event shall be displayed for more than two (2) weeks. A department may withdraw the authority to use bulletin board space if material is posted on areas other than authorized bulletin boards or if material posted on bulletin boards is not in compliance with this Article. The Department may remove material immediately that is not in compliance with this Article and shall notify the Union of its removal.
