Assignment of Work. (a) The parties agree that it is essential to ensure that all employees be advised of their job expectations, duties and responsibilities. (b) Where an employee is concerned that they cannot complete assignments and/or their work obligations, it is their responsibility to seek advice and direction from their local supervisor. The local supervisor will then provide direction to the employee, as necessary, on how to complete the assigned duties. This may include instructions on the priorities of the assigned duties.

Assignment of Work. Effective at the time Exodus receives full and final payment for the Professional Service, Exodus assigns to Customer all right, title and interest, including all intellectual property rights, in the Work, provided, however, that such assignment does not include the Exodus Technology.

Assignment of Work. Section 1. Seniority and qualifications shall regulate the assignment of work in the maintenance subdivision as hereinafter provided. Section 2. Beginning or nearing the first of each calendar quarter, and at such other times as the City deems necessary, the City will determine how many of its maintenance employees are needed in each classification on each of its work shifts, including the days off of each of its work shifts, after which the maintenance employees will be permitted to choose their work shift in accordance with Article 10, Section 3. A regular sign-up shall be posted in an appropriate place for seven (7) days in advance of its effective date. When shift sign up has been completed and shift assignments have been completed, shift assignments shall not be changed except in the case of emergencies. Section 3. It is the general policy of the City, in accordance with its maintenance needs, to use its maintenance employees on work for which they are best qualified, reserving to the City the right to judge qualifications and assign its maintenance employees to such work as it may deem necessary. The maintenance employees will perform all work assignments to the best of their ability and endeavor to acquire all knowledge possible to better enable them to perform their assignment well and efficiently. Section 4. For the purpose of work shift sign-up, the Apprentice Mechanic and Journey Mechanic will have the same classification. Further, there must be at least one (1) Journey Mechanic assigned to each shift to ensure appropriate training.

Assignment of Work. The Staff Chief Engineer has the authority to assign to their crew any job function they desire when the vessels are in normal operations. While vessels are in operational status, Eagle Harbor craft personnel are only invited aboard vessels to perform work at the Staff Chief Engineer’s request, and are required to report to the Watch Officers prior to performing any work requisitions. While vessels are in normal lay-up status at the Eagle Harbor Facility and/or while a vessel is in normal lay-up at any other terminal for purposes other than the vessels’ operational tie-up, all work requisitions submitted by the Staff Chief Engineer will be performed by craft personnel. This is not intended to allow Staff Chief Engineers, during normal lay-up status, to withhold work requisitions to enable vessel crew members to perform rehabilitation work normally done by craft employees.

This will not require the Hospital to offer such available shifts to such regular part-time employees where it would result in the payment of overtime. (b) Where the requirements of paragraph (a) above have been met, shifts as described above which remain available shall be equitably offered to available casual employees qualified and able to perform the work and working in the same classification, department, and Campus at which the work is being performed. This will not require the Hospital to offer such available shifts to such casual employees where it would result in the payment of overtime. (c) Where the requirements of paragraph (b) above have been met at a given campus, and there remains additional non-recurring shifts or pre- scheduled shifts in a regular part-time position, or less than ten (10) consecutive pre-scheduled shifts in a full-time position available due to the absence of the incumbent in that position at that campus, preference for assignment to such available shift(s)shall be offered in order of seniority to available regular part-time employees qualified and able to perform the work and working in the same classification and department at other Campuses. This will not require the Hospital to offer such available shifts to such regular part-time employees where it would result in the payment of overtime.
