Access to such records shall be limited to persons to whom access must be granted under law. In cases where investigation reveals conduct requiring further action other than termination of appointment or suspension without pay for more than thirty (30) days, the Xxxx shall initiate action suitably responsive to the concern. If preliminary investigation reasonably supports the charges and appointment termination may be an appropriate result, the Xxxx shall so notify the faculty member in writing and then forward the statement of charges, their bases, and supporting evidence to the Xxxxxxx. In the absence of extenuating circumstances, the Xxxx should complete process steps that involve the Xxxx within thirty (30) days following receipt of a written response to the charges, or thirty days from the expiration of the period within which the faculty member must respond, whichever is less.
