Calculation of Personal Days. On January 1st of each year, each regular employee having eighteen (18) months or more of service and regularly scheduled for more than twenty (20) hours per week, will be granted a credit equivalent to five twelfths (5/12) of one (1) personal day, paid at his regular hourly rate, for each complete month worked as an eligible employee during the year, to a maximum of five (5) personal days per calendar year. An absence by reason of a leave provided for in the present Collective Agreement does not interrupt the "complete month of work". In the case of an absence from work by reason of illness or accident (including a work related accident) for a period not exceeding two (2) continuous months during a calendar year, an employee shall retain his right to the maximum number of personal days hereinabove provided for in the said calendar year.
