Common use of Calculation of Time Clause in Contracts

Calculation of Time. Except where the reference is to business days, all periods of time referred to herein shall include Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays in the State of Oregon, except that if the last day of any period falls on any Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday observed by the City, the period shall be extended to include the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday. Where the reference is to business days, periods of time referred to herein shall exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays observed by the City. Whenever a time period is set forth in days in this Contract, the first day from which the designated period of time begins to run shall not be included.
