Common use of Cancellation Before First Day of Instruction Clause in Contracts

Cancellation Before First Day of Instruction. A class shall not be cancelled prior to the first day of instruction unless the College has given five (5) working days prior oral or written notice (by telephone or U.S. mail) to the instructor of the possibility that the class might be subject to cancellation. If such notice is not given, a class shall not be subject to cancellation until the first class meeting. For the purpose of this Article, the five (5) working days begin the date the mailed notice is put in the mail and postmarked.
