Cancellations of Postings. Upon request, job postings subsequent to July 1, 1999 will be provided to the Union. The Union will be advised in writing of any decision not to fill a position that has been posted. A notice will be posted on the electronic system advising of the cancellation of the posting. Once posted, competitions must only be cancelled for a bona fide business reason, e.g., budgetary approval is withdrawn or the employee who is the reason for the vacancy decides to return to the position under Clause 17.07. Only a unique circumstance should result in the cancellation of a job competition once it has been posted.
