Common use of Car Hire Clause in Contracts

Car Hire. (a) When a Cardmember wishes to use the Card to hire a vehicle, You shall obtain Authorization for the full estimated amount of the Charge (“Estimated Rental Charge”). The Estimated Rental Charge shall be determined by multiplying the rate by the rental period reserved by the Cardmember. You shall not overestimate this amount and shall not include an amount for any possible damage to or theft of the vehicle. If You fail to obtain such Authorization for the Estimated Rental Charge and submit the Charge, and the Cardmember fails to pay the Charge for any reason, We shall have Full Recourse for the full amount of the Charge. Upon return of the vehicle, the following terms shall apply:
