Common use of Carpet Cleaning Clause in Contracts

Carpet Cleaning. Tenant, by his or her signature hereon, agrees that prior to surrendering the unit to Landlord at the conclusion of the rental term, the Tenant shall have the carpets professionally cleaned and shall produce to the Landlord proof that the carpets were professionally cleaned within seven (7) days prior to the Tenant vacating the unit. If Tenant fails to have the carpets professionally cleaned and provide proof of such cleaning to Landlord, Landlord may have the carpets professionally cleaned, at Landlord’s sole discretion, and assess the cost of such cleaning to Tenant.
