Common use of Casual Rates of Pay Clause in Contracts

Casual Rates of Pay. 9.1 Employees engaged as casuals will be paid a loading of 20% on the minimum hourly payment for the relevant classification, and for the relevant day provided for in Clause 8.1 above. This loading is in lieu of any entitlement to paid leave, notice of termination, severance pay or other benefit of permanent employment. 9.2 The casual rate of pay shall be the Employee's ordinary rate of pay for all purposes.
