Common use of Catastrophe Clause in Contracts

Catastrophe. In the event of a catastrophic condition presenting, in the sole discretion of the County, an imminent danger to the safety of the inmate(s), inmates held on behalf of the Contract Agency may be removed from the County Jail. The County will inform the Contract Agency, at the earliest practical time, of the whereabouts of the inmate(s) and shall exercise all reasonable care for the safekeeping and custody of such inmate(s).

The County will inform the Contract Agency, at the earliest practical practicable time, of the whereabouts of the inmate(sprisoner(s) so removed and shall exercise all reasonable care for the safekeeping and custody of such inmate(sprisoner(s).
