Category Changes a) When a course or courses which result in a category change have been completed before September 1, and when relevant documents are submitted to the Board on or before December 31, the salary adjustment shall be retroactive to September 1. If the documents are not available for submission to the Board prior to December 31, the salary adjustment shall be retroactive to September 1 provided a copy of the teacher’s QECO application is sent to Human Resources prior to December 31.
Category Changes. Agreed, if a cafeteria employee is requested to work in a category higher than the one he/she is normally paid for, then he/she will be compensated at the higher rate beginning with the first day. Cafeteria employees transferring or being promoted from one job category to another will not necessarily start in the new classification on Step 1 , but rather their replacement will be negotiated equivalent to their experience as an employee of the cafeteria department.
Category Changes. A Long Term Occasional teacher who submits a copy of her/his OSSTF Certification Rating Statement to the Human Resources Officer (Academic) for a change in category placement shall receive the adjustment as follows: (a) If the statement is received between 1 September and 31 December inclusive, providing courses are completed prior to 31 August, the teacher's salary shall be adjusted retroactive to 1 September or to the beginning of the LTO assignment, whichever is later. (b) If the statement is received between 1 January and 31 May inclusive, providing the courses are completed prior to 31 December, the teacher's salary shall be adjusted retroactive to 1 January or the beginning of the LTO assignment, whichever is later.

Category Changes. 8.01 Category changes will only be effected as of September 1st and January 1st in any year. 8.02 a) order to receive a category change a teacher shall submit to the Manager of Finance of the Board, by November 15th of the school year in which the category change is to become effective, an Application for Category Change, together with a QECO 5 Statement of Evaluation in support of the application. In cases where a teacher makes an application for a category change after November 15th of the year in which the category change is to become effective, the teacher shall be required to show that he or she has made every reasonable effort to obtain the necessary documentation and to submit the application for a category change prior to November 15th or as soon thereafter as possible. Every reasonable effort shall be defined as a teacher having made the required submission to QECO within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving notification of having successfully completed the course which gave rise to the category change.
Category Changes. A teacher’s level placement for salary purposes shall be based on a Statement of Evaluation under Q.E.C.O. Programme Ill.
