Health Alert Network (HAN): A web-based, secure, redundant, electronic communication and collaboration system operated by OHA, available to all Oregon public health officials, hospitals, labs and other health service providers. The data it contains is maintained jointly by OHA and all LPHAs. This system provides continuous, high-speed electronic access for Oregon public health officials and service providers to public health information including the capacity for broadcasting information to Oregon public health officials and service providersregistered partners in an emergency, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. The secure HAN has a call- down engine that can be activated by state or local HAN administrators. Health Security Preparedness and Response (HSPR): A state- level program that is a joint effort with the Conference of Local Health Officials (CLHO) and Native American Tribes (Tribes) to develop public health systems to prepare for and respond to major threats, acute threats, and emergencies that impact the health of people in Oregon.

  • SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION In performing work under this Contract on State premises, Contractor shall conform to any specific safety requirements contained in the Contract or as required by law or regulation. Contractor shall take any additional precautions as the State may reasonably require for safety and accident prevention purposes. Any violation of such rules and requirements, unless promptly corrected, shall be grounds for termination of this Contract in accordance with the default provisions hereof.

  • Non-Emergency Transportation Routine medical transportation to and from Medicaid-covered scheduled medical appointments is covered by the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) broker Medicaid program. This includes transportation via multi-passenger van services and common carriers such as public railways, buses, cabs, airlines, ambulance as appropriate, and private vehicle transportation by individuals. The NEMT broker must approve ambulance, multi-passenger van services, and transportation by common carriers. The MCO must inform enrollees of how to access non-emergency transportation as appropriate.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.
