Civil Rights and Compliance with Federal Laws. The Sub-recipient agrees to comply with Title XLIV, Chapters 760-765, Civil Rights, Florida Statutes and with: 1) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended - which provides that no person in the United States shall on the grounds of race, color, or national origin be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. 2) Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 as amended - which provides for fair housing throughout the United States. Types of prohibited discrimination include refusal to sell, rent, or negotiate, or otherwise to make unavailable; discrimination in terms, conditions and privileges; discriminatory advertising; false representation; blockbusting; discrimination in financing; and discrimination in membership in multi­listing services and real estate broker organizations. Discrimination is prohibited on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, familial status, disability, and national origin. HUD (and grantees) shall administer programs and activities relating to housing and urban development in a manner affirmatively to further the policies of this Title.

  • Compliance with Civil Rights Laws The Contractor hereby assures that it will comply with Subchapter VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 USC Sections 2000 (e) (1) through 2000 (e) (17), to the end that no person shall, on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, religion, ancestry, age, condition of physical handicap, marital status, political affiliation, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under this Contract or under any project, program, or activity supported by this Contract. The Contractor shall comply with Exhibit D - Contractor’s EEO Certification.

  • Compliance with Federal Law The Credit Parties shall: (i) ensure that no Person who owns a controlling interest in or otherwise controls the Credit Parties is or shall be listed on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Person List or other similar lists maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), the Department of the Treasury, included in any Executive Orders or any other similar lists from any Governmental Authority; (ii) not use or permit the use of the proceeds of the Loans to violate any of the foreign asset control regulations of OFAC or any enabling statute or Executive Order relating thereto, or any other similar national or foreign governmental regulations; and (iii) comply with all applicable Lender Secrecy Act (“BSA”) laws and regulations, as amended. As required by federal law and Lender’s policies and practices, Lender may need to obtain, verify and record certain customer identification information and documentation in connection with opening or maintaining accounts or establishing or continuing to provide services.

  • Compliance with Federal Law, Regulations, and Executive Orders This is an acknowledgement that FEMA financial assistance will be used to fund all or a portion of the contract. The contractor will comply with all applicable Federal law, regulations, executive orders, FEMA policies, procedures, and directives.

  • Compliance with Federal and State Work Authorization and Immigration Laws The Contractor and all subcontractors, suppliers and consultants must comply with all federal and state work authorization and immigration laws, and must certify compliance using the form set forth in Section 7 (“Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act Affidavits”). The required certificates must be filed with the Owner and copied maintained by the Contractor as of the beginning date of this contract and each subcontract, supplier contract, or consultant contract, and upon final payment to the subcontractor or consultant. State officials, including officials of the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts, officials of the Owner, retain the right to inspect and audit the Project Site and employment records of the Contractor, subcontractors and consultants without notice during normal working hours until Final Completion, and as otherwise specified by law and by Rules and Regulations of the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts.

  • Compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act Contractor shall provide the Services in a manner that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including but not limited to Title II’s program access requirements, and all other applicable federal, state and local disability rights legislation.

Neither Contractor nor its employees are Department employees. This insurance/exemption must be valid for the entire contract term and any renewal.   • Compliance with Healthcare Laws The tests, studies, and trials conducted by or on behalf of or sponsored by the Company or any of its subsidiaries were and, if still pending, are being conducted in all material respects in accordance with all applicable Health Care Laws (as defined below) and standard medical and scientific research protocols, procedures, and controls; none of the Company or any of its subsidiaries has received any written notice, correspondence, or other written communication from any regulatory agency or any institutional review board or comparable body requiring or threatening the termination, suspension, or material modification of any tests, studies, or trials, or commercial distribution, and to the knowledge of the Company and its subsidiaries, there are no reasonable grounds for the same. Each of the Company and its Subsidiaries has obtained (or caused to be obtained) the informed consent of each human subject who participated in a test, study, or trial. None of the tests, studies, or trials involved any investigator who has been disqualified as a clinical investigator. The Company and its directors, officers, employees, and agents are, and at all times prior hereto have been, in material compliance with, all health care laws and regulations applicable to the Company or any of its product candidates or activities, including development and testing of pharmaceutical products, kickbacks, recordkeeping, documentation requirements, the hiring of employees (to the extent governed by Health Care Laws), quality, safety, privacy, security, licensure, accreditation or any other aspect of developing and testing health care or pharmaceutical products (collectively, “Health Care Laws”). The Company has not received any notification, correspondence or any other written or oral communication, including notification of any pending or threatened claim, suit, proceeding, hearing, enforcement, investigation, arbitration or other action from any governmental authority, including, without limitation, the United States Food and Drug Administration, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, of potential or actual non-compliance by, or liability of, the Company under any Health Care Laws. To the Company’s knowledge, there are no facts or circumstances that would reasonably be expected to give rise to liability of the Company under any Health Care Laws, except that would not individually or in the aggregate have a Material Adverse Effect.
