Common use of Claims Commissioner Clause in Contracts

Claims Commissioner. Any claim by the Contractor under this Agreement which is not resolved through mediation, or any other procedure set forth in this Agreement, will be subject to the provisions of Chapter 53 of the Connecticut General Statutes. The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that the sole and exclusive means for the presentation of any claim against the University or the State of Connecticut arising from this Agreement shall be in accordance with Chapter 53 of the Connecticut General Statutes (Claims Against the State) and the Contractor further agrees not to initiate legal proceedings in any State or Federal Court in addition to, or in lieu of, said Chapter 53 proceedings.
