CLASSIFICATION DEFINED. A classification is a subset of a department. Each classification has unique characteristics that distinguish it from all other classifications. A classification may be a subset of a department that provides for vertical movement or the classification may be a subset of a department that does not provide for vertical movement. See Sections B., 1. and B., 2., above.
CLASSIFICATION DEFINED. Classification” shall be defined as the job title and/or area of certification or qualification for a bargaining unit position.
CLASSIFICATION DEFINED. “Classification” shall be defined as the job title and/or area of certification or qualification for a bargaining unit position within a job category. A member who worked in a job classification within the last five (5) years and has the current qualifications for the job classification will be considered qualified for that position when exercising their rights under this Article.
