Common use of Classification Standards Clause in Contracts

Classification Standards. a. Title 5 positions will be classified by comparing the duties, responsibilities, and supervisory relationships in the official position description with the appropriate classification and job-grading standard. b. The Employer will apply newly issued OPM classification and job grading standards within a reasonable period of time as established by OPM. The Union will be notified when new standards are issued.

If these standards are issuednot available electronically, copies will be provided to the Local by the appropriate HRM official upon request. C. The Department will provide the Union with copies of any Department guidance provided to OPM in connection with any classification standards.
