Classified Employees Substituting for Teachers. 2.8.3.1 Classified employees with a bachelor’s degree and a valid teaching certitificate (or an emergency substitute certificate) who make themselves available to substitute teach on an emergency basis will be compensated at the substitute teacher pay rate or the employee’s rate of pay whichever is higher.
