Cleanup and the Conceptual Site Model Sample Clauses

Cleanup and the Conceptual Site Model. As pathways and conditions of exposure at the Site are altered by cleanup, they affect and must reflect the CSM of the future post-cleanup Site. Specific to soil removals, as the soil/fill material is excavated at the site and not replaced with clean fill, the laboratory results for the next three feet are be compared to the applicable surface soil RBTLs. According to the MDNR, closure to non-residential can use a representative concentration based on an average of the remaining concentrations. The stormwater features of the cleanup are intended to manage runoff and flood waters. Construction of stormwater features affects CSM exposure considerations. Final surface grade treatment with imported fill and vegetative stabilization interrupts the exposure pathway of humans and terrestrial ecological receptors to direct soil contact during dry periods. Controlled fill and vegetative stabilization also interrupts the direct soil contact exposure pathway for infrequent potential aquatic receptors transient on the Site during infrequent periods of flood. The combination of imported fill separation, vegetative stabilization and low to moderate slopes interrupt potential erosion and the formation of sediment available for transport during rain or infrequent flood events. A more detailed technical discussion of sediment considerations is given in section 7.1.1.
