Common use of COMMENDATION PAID LEAVE Clause in Contracts

COMMENDATION PAID LEAVE. 34.1 A department director, upon approval by the City Manager, or designee, may grant up to forty (40) hours of paid leave to any employee whose job performance is of such exemplary or heroic nature as to warrant this special consideration. This Article shall not be subject to the grievance procedure or arbitration.
