UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. The District will continue to provide uniforms and clothing appropriate to the jobs and will meet and confer with the Association periodically to consider the adequacy of such provisions.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. (a) The Board will advise all departments of the District that smocks will be made available, as required, to all employees when undertaking duties that may require protection of clothing.
(b) The District will reimburse an employee, upon production of receipts, up to fifty ($50.00) dollars per year for bathing suits and non-slip footwear where that employee’s assignment requires them to regularly be in a swimming pool.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. When the Employer determines it appropriate and implements a uniform shirt, the following will apply. The Employer agrees to:
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. All child nutrition employees whose job assignment is a cook, cashier, assistant manager and manager shall be required to wear a uniform, except on spirit days when they are permitted to wear a spirit shirt and jeans/slacks. The Child Nutrition Department will purchase two sets for each new employee and all other employees shall receive a minimum of one new uniform per year. The employee may have the option of purchasing more if they so choose. The district will provide back support belts to those support personnel who expect to do lifting. Failure to wear the back support belt when lifting may be considered cause for suspension, demotion, or termination.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. The pay provided for in the appendix, and in this agreement, includes an amount to compensate the Employees for the expense of maintaining uniforms and suitable clothing required by the Employer, for both uniformed personnel and those people assigned by the Chief to duty as plainclothes officers. When requested by an Employee who is transferred or promoted to a uniform duty position, after a minimum three year assignment in plainclothes, the Employer shall provide the following uniform items: three pairs of uniform pants , 2 winter shirts, 2 summer shirts; or the monetary equivalent of the cost of these items may be applied toward the purchase of other uniform items. The provisions of this paragraph shall not apply to short-term or day-to-day uniform duty assignments.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. 1. All regular full-time Patrol Officers and Detectives shall receive uniform allowance each contract year on the first payday in December as follows: $850.00. If required to wear a uniform, Dispatchers shall receive a uniform allowance each contract year on the first payday in December as follows: $450.00. Uniform allowances shall be for purposes of purchasing and maintaining required uniforms. Probationary employees shall receive a pro-rated uniform allowance. In order to secure tax deductibility for the allowance provided for under this Article, the employee shall be required to comply with the Internal Revenue Service regulations which mandate the submission of a receipt as a condition precedent to taking a lawful tax deduction. Such receipt shall be submitted to the Town on or before December 31 of each year or this stipend shall be considered to be ordinary income to the recipient.
a. A uniform allowance will not be due any officer leaving employment for any reason within the first 365 days of employment.
2. All uniformed personnel shall be responsible for wearing the uniform as specified in Department regulations and shall be required to keep uniforms clean and in good repair. Uniform items that are damaged, destroyed, are made unserviceable, or are not presentable will not be replaced by the Police Department if in the opinion of the Chief the damage resulted from the carelessness, negligence or improper use by the employee.
3. All regular full-time Patrol Officers assigned to the Detective Division by the Chief of Police shall receive a $450.00 clothing allowance each contract year on the first payday in December. Probationary detectives shall receive a pro-rated clothing allowance. In order to secure tax deductibility for the allowance provided for under this Article, the employee shall be required to comply with the Internal Revenue Service regulations which mandate the submission of a receipt as a condition precedent to taking a lawful tax deduction. a. A clothing allowance will not be due any detective leaving employment for any reason within the first 365 days of employment.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. 1. The City will continue its present policy with respect to initial issue to new personnel or personnel returning to uniform duty.
2. The City will continue to provide on an exchange as needed basis:
a. Name plate
b. Leather (excluding shoes)
c. Rain Gear
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. A. Each employee shall receive the sum of one thousand ($1,000) dollars annually for the purpose of maintaining, cleaning, altering, sewing on of buttons, repairs, patches, and/or replacing such uniform or parts thereof. Employees shall receive such amount on the last pay date in May in accordance with the policy heretofore established for clothing maintenance and replacement. The annual payment shall be for the calendar year. In the event of termination of employment, such payment shall be prorated.
B. The Township will repair or replace any items broken or damaged in the line of duty that was not caused through the negligence of the employee up to a maximum of two hundred ($200.00) dollars.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. If a specific type of clothing is required of a support employee, the district shall provide such uniforms and the upkeep thereof. The district shall provide back support belts to those employees who are expected to do lifting.
UNIFORM/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. SECTION 40.1 An initial issue of appropriate uniforms shall be provided by the Employer to each employee of the Fire Division upon their initial employment in accordance with the lists in the uniform and equipment issue policies. The Union shall be notified in advance of any changes to these policies. In each year of this agreement the City will replace worn or broken items of clothing or equipment, if need is demonstrated.
SECTION 40.2 The Employer shall be responsible for furnishing and paying for all required Firefighting and Emergency Medical clothing and equipment required for the performance of the employee's duties.
