Commitment to Students. The Administration and the Association reaffirm their commitment to provide YSU students with the highest quality instruction possible within the limits of the resources available to the institution; and while both parties recognize the limits of the institution’s resources, they also understand that our commitment to students is the first priority of the institution and that resources shall be distributed accordingly. The parties shall seek to maintain an environment that encourages each student to attain their maximum intellectual and emotional development, heightens the individual’s awareness of contemporary forces in society and their impact upon the individual, and prepares students for productive careers and responsible citizenship. Accordingly, the parties commit themselves to the following:
