COMMITTEE RIGHTS. The Committee is a public body established under and with powers provided by the statutes of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and nothing in this Agreement shall derogate from the powers and responsibilities of the Committee and/or Superintendent under the statutes of the Commonwealth or the rules and regulations of agencies of the Commonwealth. The Committee and/or Superintendent retain those rights, powers, and duties they now have or may be granted, or have conferred upon them by law, unless modified or changed by this Agreement. Any action made by the Committee and/or Superintendent pursuant to those matters reserved to them by this Agreement shall not be made the subject of the provisions of the grievance procedure.
