Complaints Against Bargaining Unit Members (or Complaints. from the Public) Complaints against unit members (excluding unit members in the Department of Police, Sheriff's Department, and the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation) while in the performance of their official duties or driving official vehicles at any time shall only be placed in the official personnel files and subject to discipline by management only after receipt of a written complaint, signed by the person making the complaint, or a complaint transmitted by e-mail that identifies the complainant by name and the complainant's contact information; a complaint received by phone or e-mail submitted via the County's 3-1-1 call center; or received by phone or e-mail submitted to any county official that identifies the complainant by name and includes contact information.
