Compliance with Children Xxx 0000 and Safeguarding Children and Young People see 21. THE HIRER shall ensure that any activities for children under eight years of age comply with the provisions of the Children Act of 2004 and that only fit and proper registered persons have access to the children. Safeguarding Children and Young People are of the upmost importance. It is the Hirer's responsibility to manage their behaviours, health, and safety so as not to harm themselves or others. However, safeguarding and health and safety is everyone's responsibility, and it may be necessary for staff and volunteers to intervene appropriately if they observe behaviour that compromises Children and Young People and other’s safety or wellbeing. If this occurs, then staff and volunteers need to make the Hirers aware immediately. The Welfare of the child is Paramount – Children's Xxx 0000

  • Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults The Supplier will comply with all applicable legislation and codes of practice, including, where applicable, all legislation and statutory guidance relevant to the safeguarding and protection of children and vulnerable adults and with the British Council’s Child Protection Policy, as notified to the Supplier and amended from time to time, which the Supplier acknowledges may include submitting to a check by the UK Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) or the equivalent local service; in addition, the Supplier will ensure that, where it engages any other party to supply any of the Services under this Agreement, that that party will also comply with the same requirements as if they were a party to this Agreement.

  • Compliance with Executive Orders Concerning Ethics The Contractor warrants that he and his firm have complied in all respects with the Governor’s Executive Orders concerning ethics matters, including, but not limited to, Executive Order dated January 13, 2003 (establishing Code of Ethics for Executive Branch Officers and Employees, including provisions governing former officers and employees); Executive Order dated October 1, 2003 (governing vendors to state agencies and disclosure and registration of lobbyists); and O.C.G.A. Sections 21-5-70(5), 21-5-71 and 21-5-73, all as amended effective January 9, 2006 (requiring registration and disclosure filings by state agency vendor lobbyists). In this regard, the Contractor certifies that any lobbyist employed or retained by the Contractor or his firm has both registered and made the required disclosures required by the Executive Orders, as amended.

  • Information Technology Accessibility Standards Any information technology related products or services purchased, used or maintained through this Grant must be compatible with the principles and goals contained in the Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards adopted by the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board under Section 508 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. §794d), as amended.   • SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS 8.1 The Service Provider will have ultimate responsibility for the management and control of any Regulated Activity provided under this agreement and for the purposes of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Xxx 0000.
