COMPUTATION OF SALARY FOR JOB SHARING PARTICIPANTS. A. The period of service for the purposes of this program shall be eighteen and three quarters (18.75) hours per week during the regular school year of 196 days or as mutually agreed between the job share participant, principal, superintendent and school board. Payment and benefits for this period of employment shall be computed as follows: Payment shall equal one half (1/2) of the individuals' salary based on degree and experience or in the event of a modification of the terms of the specific job-sharing agreement, the pro-rata percentage as agreed to by the participant, principal, superintendent and school board. B. In addition to the above salary amounts the employee shall also receive: 1. An appropriate pro-rated share of the Board's annual contribution for group health and life insurance. Employees who are relatives (as defined in F.S. 1012.61 (2)) may elect to designate one of the participants to receive 100% of the health and life insurance contribution. 2. Sick Leave computed at the rate of one-half (1/2) day per month for each month worked not to exceed 5 days per year or a prorated share. A maximum of three (3) days personal leave may be charged to sick leave or a prorated share. 3. Appropriate contributions for the Florida Retirement System and Social Security.
