Conditions for Accrual of Vacation. Leave for Three (3) Platoon Employees. Each employee working under the three (3)-platoon system shall accrue vacation leave by pay period based on years of continuous service as established in the schedule below. To determine the appropriate accrual rate, the higher rate of accrual will begin on the first day of the pay period in which a year of continuous service is completed. Accrual based on completed years of service for the ranks of Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief:
