CONFLICT OF INTEREST; ETHICS LAWS. A. In accordance with the safeguards specified in Section 27 of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 423) and other applicable federal requirements, no officer, member or employee of the MCOP, the Director of OMC, or other ODM employee who exercises any functions or responsibilities in connection with the review or approval of this Agreement or provision of services under this Agreement shall, prior to the completion of such services or reimbursement, acquire any interest, personal or otherwise, direct or indirect, which is incompatible or in conflict with, or would compromise in any manner or degree the discharge and fulfillment of his or her functions and responsibilities with respect to the carrying out of such services. For purposes of this article, "members" does not include individuals whose sole connection with the MCOP is the receipt of services through a health care program offered by the MCOP.
