Common use of Construction Change Document (CCD) Clause in Contracts

Construction Change Document (CCD). A Construction Change Document is a DSA term that is utilized to address changes to the DSA approved Plans and Specifications. There are two types of Construction Change Documents. (1) DSA approved CCD Category A for Work affecting Structural, Access or Fire-Life Safety of the Project which will require a DSA approval; and, (2) CCD Category B for work NOT affecting Structural Safety, Access Compliance or Fire and Life Safety that will not require a DSA approval (except to confirm that no Approval is required). Both CCD Category A and Category B shall be set forth in DSA Form 140 and submitted to DSA as required.
