Construction Cost Estimate. The Design Professional shall prepare a detailed Construction Cost Estimate of the completed Design Development Documents that includes all District review comments from previous design phases. Mark- ups, contingencies and escalations shall be as mutually agreed between the Design Professional and the District. If the Construction Cost Estimate materially exceeds the District’s Construction Budget for the Project by more than 10%, without fault or neglect of the District, the Design Professional shall revise the Design Development Documents so that the detailed Design Development Cost Estimate conforms to the District’s Construction Budget for the Project. The validation of the revised Design Development Documents shall appear in the Construction Design Documents to reflect the Design Development Document changes that bring the project back into compliance with the District’s Construction Budget.
