Common use of Contract Conditions Clause in Contracts

Contract Conditions. In the event of a budget deficit from the prior year, legislative action, or initiative affecting any portion of the agreement, the salary and related economic items agreed to herein shall not be reduced without negotiations between the Association and the District. A budget deficit shall be defined as the inability of the District to finance staffing and programs through the general fund operating budget at the previous year’s level. The District or Association shall give notice of its need to renegotiate the contract during the term of the agreement.
