Contract Responsibility. During the term of this Agreement the Association shall not authorize, cause, engage in or sanction any strike, picketing during school hours, or refusal to perform the duties of employment by any teacher or teachers and no teacher shall cause or participate in a strike, picketing during school hours, or refusal to perform the duties of his or her employment. In the event of any violation of this Article, the Association shall forthwith declare in writing and deliver to the Board or Superintendent, that such action is not authorized by the Association and the Association will exert every reasonable effort to cause the employee to promptly cease such action. The Board shall have the right to discipline, including discharge, any teacher for taking part in any violation of this Article. Prior to taking such action, the Board shall notify the Association in writing of its intentions and may also consult with the Association in connection therewith.
